Southern Water has awarded an AMP8 contract for household and non-household water efficiency audits, including the supply and installation of water-saving devices and delivery of tailored customer engagement services, with an estimated value of c £3.293 million (including VAT).

The water company went out to tender with the contract in September 2025 to put a single-supplier framework agreement in place. The supplier will be expected to proactively identify efficiency opportunities and contribute to achieving Ofwat and regulatory water demand reduction targets.
Earliest date the contract will be signedis 5 March 2026 and current start and end estimated contract dates are 6 March 2026 to 5 March 2030, with a possible extension option to 5 March 2032.
The water company says the extension will be subject to performance review and evolving regulatory landscape e.g. Ofwat targets or PR24/PR29 impacts which reflects:
- The long-term behavioural change and infrastructure work required
- The need for partnership and continuity to optimise proactive outreach and device installation
- The alignment with multi-year performance commitments (e.g., AMP8/AMP9 planning cycles)
The contract has been awarded to Aqualogic (WC) Ltd - the supplier already works with a number of the water companies in both the wholesale and retail markets.
In addition to water efficiency audits, other services offered by the supplier include:
- leakage detection
- consultancy services
- hydraulic modelling
- leakage detection
- online services
- pressure management
